Photography | The Irish Coast

Hi lovely people, sorry I went missing for a while.  Its been a hectic few months, but of the good variety.  Things have been going well.  Its Summer in Ireland so with the lovely weather and the sunshine, I think that always gives everyone a little boost.  The joys of a bit of Vitamin D, eh?!

This photo that I am sharing today was taken in Dundalk, Co Louth.  We went away for the long weekend and it was so nice to have a change of scenery and be by the coast.  I always feel such a sense of peace and calmness when I am near the water.  Maybe its something to do with being an Aquarian?! Who knows !!!

So on the personal front, I have some good news also. I have decided to go back to work full time at the end of the Summer and I have also enrolled with The College of Naturopathic Medicine to study nutrition. So I will officially be a student again and words can’t even express how excited I am about this.  The end goal is that I will be a qualified Nutritional Therapist and can set up my own practice.

My other bit of news is that as of the last month I have transitioned from being vegetarian to vegan. It took me a year to make the transition.  I know some people make the transition overnight but I didn’t want to send my body into shock or burn out so I did it gradually.

There were 3 reasons for making this transition. The first was animal welfare, the 2nd being for my health and the 3rd was environmental.  Knowing that the agricultural industry is destroying our planet was enough of a wake up call to encourage me to finally take the plunge. I watched a documentary called Cowspiracy which I really would encourage people to watch from an environmental stand point. It was truly enlightening.

So there you have it, some life updates since I last posted and a picture which I hope you like. What have you been up to these last few months? Would love to hear your news too !!!

Hullo! Welcome back. Such a gorgeous photo and so many exciting things happening for you. My husband is also vegan and, if you haven’t already got a copy, I highly, HIGHLY recommend the Veganomicon cookbook by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero. Definitely the best vegan cookbook we’ve found. The recipes are delicious!

Thanks for the warm welcome back !!! Good to see you are still happily blogging away 😀 Wow what is it like being married to a vegan when you are not one yourself?

Thanks for the book recommendation. I am always buying recipe books and have seen that one come up on Amazon. I will definitely check it out xx
